Sharon Cruse – 17th February 2019
James Turner and Sharon Cruse ran the Bramley 20/10 on Sunday 17th Feb.
The race is a choice of one or two laps of a 10-mile course. It was a lovely sunny day and the hour and a half drive was worth it for a very well organised race.
The course is on road and is reasonably flat and fast. Both James and Sharon were using the race as training for London and had similar strategies for approaching the 20-mile course (first 10 miles conversational, followed by incremental increases every two miles until the finish).
There were plenty of participants of various abilities and everyone started together.
At the finish, there was a goody bag with a nice bit of bling. After a large cup of tea and a bit of a sit-down, we headed back to the forest munching on a secret stash of apples in James’ car!!
